A few things to know about ErgoTax

Your tax work stays local during prep

Tax documents you add, data you enter, and forms you generate are processed and stored locally during normal preparation. Standard infrastructure logs may still include limited operational data.

No cloud storage in v1

Your work is saved in browser local storage. Export your project file regularly. Do not use ErgoTax on shared or public computers.

ErgoTax is software, not a tax advisor

ErgoTax does not provide tax advice. Review every generated form before filing. For advice on your tax situation, consult a qualified tax professional.

E-file is not available

ErgoTax v1 prepares and generates forms. It does not submit your return to the IRS or state agencies. E-file is planned for a future version.
